I like it for the Wings. TK would be one of the better options to get via trade.

Hard pass on Ceci, I'm meh on Trouba as well, but Mastrosimone is most likely not signing with Detroit, so that would have to be someone else.

Rather keep Trouba. He's the captain and still a good player, contrary to what dumb fans and writers seem to say.

A lot of people have gotten harsh on Ceci lately. I get his performance in the playoffs wasn't good, but it's not like he's getting beaten by 3rd and 4th lines. The guy is playing a pairing above his established level on a 1st pairing tasked with shutdown duties. At 3.25mil for another 2 years, he strikes me as a really solid option for a team that can needs a 2nd or 3rd pair RD to help shelter young LD. Not too much term or too much money. Is it simply that you'd prefer they pursue other options first or is it genuinely an "I'd never even consider the guy on my team" situation? If it's the latter, can you elaborate on why?

I prefer other options, he does have a decent contract and is a stop gap. With that said, I personally think he isn't a great defender, so he wouldn't be my first choice, but if it's between him and Trouba (don't want either) I'd go Trouba with salary retained.
