Leaf fans will know what I’m about to say we don’t want Corey Perry but we want Corey perry they know what I mean also, I really like this team especially the Matt Martin trade. He’s a big body and he is physical.

Edited May 17, 2023 at 7:50 p.m.. Reason: Amirov vs Askarov

Weird, I was gonna say, I don’t mind that from a PHI perspective. 3 former 1st rounders, all young, all unproven but promising. Plus a decent group of picks including a 2024 1st and a high second this year

Then it gives you an opportunity to trade hart and recoup additional assets. Idk, I guess that’s not enough?

Edit: to be fair I did think amirov was the NSH prospect Askarov so that’s on me. Still think there’s a lot to like in there

Either or could work, i originally went with McMichael because the leafs needed the depth in forward, but decided to just flip him instead because he didn't match the hard nosed bottom 6 i was going for

Pens accept. Laffy had 12 goals and 15 helpers last season and plays with an edge. I'm going to wager that's more than Alex Nylander will have for the Pens this season.

No lol this trade is literally missing 2 first round picks added on to it. You want us to retain a good chunk of money on both players for a 1st, Lilj, and scraps? The 1st isn’t even in 2023 lol. This trade barely even gets TK with no retention let alone everything else

Personally i think you're overvaluing both your players and undervaluing the players that were traded. all the players traded are former first round picks who've had slow starts to their NHL careers, with playing time on the flyers i'm sure they could develop and turn into NHL regulars.

Dude asking us to retain $8M+ over 2+ years is already worth a 1st round pick lol. TK should be a 2023 1st, a 2nd, a good prospect. Provy should be a late 1st/early 2nd and a good prospect. You’re literally missing two 1st round picks. Danny is going to want to make his own draft picks not taking someone else’s picks that could be busts. The trade isn’t awful but you will 100% get outbid by other teams that can offer better picks

It's not 8m its 4m per. The ask isn't even that absurd considering the season provorov just had. Philly is going to be garbage anyways so what're you worried about the cap for?

4 per still totals 8 your still asking us to retain 8 over 2 years and cap is literally more valuable than it has ever been especially for contenders. Trading for Provy to put him on the 2nd pair with them at retention literally makes him one of the best 2nd pairing players in the league. No matter how ugly Provy’s season was he still doesn’t nothing but eat minutes and block shots all day and is still valuable especially at that price. Leafs fans are delusional that every team in the league should just hand you players and bend over

Honestly looking at it again I do like a lot of those pieces and dont think its terrible value but I don't really like the retention. Wouldn't mind retaining on one but both seems a bit much, especially if we're most likely gonna be retaining at least 2M+ on Hayes for the next 3 years in another trade

Isles easily accept and reroute one of those picks for someone else to retain instead
