Description
Pick Sandin Pellika at 11, if he’s gone then dvorsky is ideal imo. Oilers trade is from an oilers fan so i don’t think fleece is the right word. LA is weak on LHD. Ducks take a year of myers to move up 3 rounds. Beau is genuinely valuable, send him home for a bottom pairing dman and a mid pick. Gav has been rumoured for a while now, i think he makes sense if the money is right. Erod works fine as a 3C, maybe 500K more expensive though.

probably, but then again, garland is a legitimate play-driving middle six winger, which is an obvious need for Edmonton. It doesn’t seem that outlandish to think they part with a late first and a bottom six guy no?

Its the added cap that's the issue. They are going to have to pay Bouchard big money and they don't have it as it is.

Only reason Oilers moves Yamo is to clear up cap room to resign depth players, not to pick up a heavier contract and make things worse. Let's alone also giving a first in addition to ruining their team with money issues

do you think it makes sense to add ceci to this deal then, with an added pick from van?

garland is an excellent player, i realize that the flat cap makes things more difficult, but it doesn’t diminish his value by that much

What i would say is that this wouldn’t be the only move the oilers made. The have an obvious need for a quality middle six winger, and garland fits that mild perfectly. If i were ken holland then I would move ceci and potentially kulak to free up cap space before betting on broberg to take a full time spot.

We're not trading a good, experienced bottom-6 center (why do you have him at LW?) for an untested LhD. We have RhD prospects who would be much better suited for an exchange like this.

That’s fair, I know lizotte has played wing before, so I figured his speed would work well in the bottom six. As for rathbone, I think he is exactly what the kings need. He has heaps of potential and likely just needs a change of scenery to turn into an everyday offensive defenseman.

If we can find a replacement at RHD I think we'd be interested. Ideally I'd like to spend our 1st on someone a little more valuable like make a big offer for a guy like Konecny or Ehlers, but Garland's not bad
