Monahan was included just to make the cap work on the trade calculator. MTL would absolutely trade Roy if PLD was the return. Being great at WJC is fine but its not the NHL, ask Curtis Lazar, Scott Glennie and Justin Pogge.

Not a bad start. Strudel as a LHD isn't a need and has no value to the Jets. He needs to be replaced with something the Jets need and obviously the Jets aren't adding anything to PLD.

He isn't a need but MTL also has an abundance. With the first and Roy in there I think WPG accepts and looks to move Struble again or maybe someone else on same side of depth chart. The extra Jet is just for risk mitigation really, he's a player WPG probably never signs and so MTL takes a free flyer.

Nah, with Florida's first being so late, that offer is barely competitive with the other offers Winnipeg will receive. So, they'll just trade him elsewhere for pieces they want.

Agreed. IMO Winnipeg won't trade PLD to Montreal unless Montreal's offer is clearly better than all other offers. Not just maybe a little better or about as good but clearly better.
