Tanev fits our top 4 much better than Jokiharju. He will be an ideal partner for Power for at least one season, perhaps we will extend him in the future. He is exactly DFD we need.

I'm not a big fan Jokiharju, but maybe he still has some potential to improve and he's just not a Buffalo top 4 player. He is a player who likes to move the puck and attack, and he does not play well with Dahlin and Power. Perhaps in Calgary he will show himself better playing with defenders like Hanifin or Weegar.

They aren't gonna dump him, but he's also a FA in a year. And he's good but he's not a spring chicken anymore.

But Orlov is also 2yrs younger, agree it might take more but what kinda pick are you thinking. Not like Joker is garbage, he just needs to find that consistency that plagues young Dman.

Age on rentals is significantly less important though, you are paying for what they do now, not what they do over the next 4 years

No, I never said that. I think Calgary would have interest in Ostlund if he's redundant in your organizations prospect pool or Mitts for a player in the league now
