I’d much rather 2023 since we are retaining and taking back a contract for you

That ain’t happenin, 14th OA for Henrique would be an outrageous overpay…

Also Rutta isn’t all that much a cap dump, he’s a very serviceable bottom 4 guy

This is a fair deal all around imo

Honestly have little to no interest in Henrique. I get the thought process and that finding a 3C is harder than it may sound, but man I don’t want another guy approaching 35. Below 30 would be ideal. His game isn’t bad, but much rather have hungry youth.

Also, I’d much rather sign Mayfield than pay for Forbort. He’s bigger, better, and a RHD, which allows Smith to play his proper side at LD.

That could lead us to a guy like Roslovic possibly?

Meh, he’s a possibility. I’d love a guy like Roy in Vegas. Hopefully they’ll be looking to move some salary out. I don’t think he’d be available unless we wow them though, but you never know.

Man I wish we’d just trade damn near every pick and the farm for Cooley in AZ lol. I get that it won’t happen, but that’d be wonderful. Hopefully he makes it clear to them that he won’t sign there lol.

Roy would be a fit too I could see that. Think if we threw a second at VGK they would bite on it and we’ve got a deal.

Nah Cooley is in AZ to stay, they’ve got a promising young core in the making and he seems to like what’s going for them. He’ll get 1 year back in Minny and be ready to start his NHL career next year before the Yotes take flight

Yeah Cooley most likely will stay in the AZ organization if they move, as I alluded to, but one can hope. He’s a burgh boy after all, maybe he holds out lol.

I’d be fine with throwing Hallinder in on that Vegas deal too, being that he seems as if he’s done with our organization.

We'd have to add a lot to attempt to land 14 OA. Probably our 2nd at 33 or Lundestrom, but with how bad our defense was this year and playing with Silf, whenever he got the puck out of our zone no one went with him for a scoring opportunity, they just went to the bench, so his numbers were terrible this year.

I can't see Vegas turning young, cheap youth into picks, they are fighting for cups, they need those cost controlled pieces. Older, more expensive guys will be on their way out if they want cap space.

Typically those guys come with NTC’s. I haven’t taken an in depth look at their guys, just spitballin. I could see them taking a second and Hallinder, a guy who potential could produce as much as Roy for 1/3 the price, for him. They could then flip that second with more pieces for a star. Like I said, we’d have to wow them, but ya never know.

I like Henrique - but if they're getting him I'd hope it's to play 3C and buyout Granlund.

Also, if that's what it take to get Zucker I'd let him walk
