And Bratt and Meier don't sign those offers either.

I don’t think people want him gone, it just makes more sense to trade one of the guys (basically marner or nylander) than to run it back for the 4th straight year

It's not that no one wants him.....it's the 11m, the 7th highest contract in the league. Leafs keep him if they have to retain so much.

Not close. Marner is. 26 year old 99 point Selke finalist. Which guy on your team qualifies? You have a 99 point guy but he’s not a Selke candidate. You have a center that’s pretty good defensively but he’s never hit 80 points. Just wondering what you would want for your 99 point player? Then ask yourself why the Leafs would give away theirs for a pile of mediocrity.

I know this sounds unrealistic to some fans... but Marner w rention could (possibly) go for Bratt/Mercer (depending on where the Leafs take the organization) +
