I know he’s not what he once was, but this is more about Toronto winning now, and the Wild getting out of Spurgeon’s contract.

I’m not going to keep track because I am relying on you to keep an accurate count. 😂

Isles will give you Bailey and Clutterbuck for Spurgeon lol. At least they are expiring.

Jeez. Putting Spurgeon levels of responsibility and accountability on me, looks like I’ll be in your trade props soon.

Honestly I don’t think Clutterbuck or Martin are, but I’d find a way to move both guys and bailey if I could acquire spurgeon for cheap.

If those two were to have predictable seasons next year, what do you think their trade value at the deadline might be?

Love Flower, but at this point in his career he's a cap dump for Minny and no better than DeSmith; thus, the pick you'd get back for including Addison wouldn't be a second, unless you include Foligno, as well.

If Mayfield’s rights were included, how much value would he add and what will his next contract look like?

My default position is that UFA rights r worth little to nothing, but personally I wouldn’t want him. Probably comes in around 4 X 16 and that won’t age well.

If that’s what it would cost to resign him, I don’t want him either.

I think a lot of Spurgeon’s so called post season struggles stem from the fact that Minnesota lacks a high end center today can match up with guys like Hintze. I would be willing to bet he wouldn’t have that issue in NY.

I dont understand moving Spurgeon at all, he was one of the better defensive Defenceman this season in the league, played the most penalty kill minutes on the team and plays a major leadership role, in no way ever will the wild move him like that unless he asks to be traded
