Not nearly as much as the rest of the NHL fanbase hates Laffs fans. His contract is a team killer. Hating people just because they are smart, logical and great looking is not rational. No one is saying Marner isn't a great player. Just saying he's overpaid. He's not McDavid, MacK, etc... he's not near their level and shouldn't be paid near them.

It's a comparison to other players that are in the $8M or higher range. So that puts Marner at $7M.
