I'd say add the extra million in cap space to Gustavsson's contract but other than that it looks good.

Gus isn’t getting more than Flower, internal cap structures are weird. But if somebody is willing to pay him $4.5 mil, I will take the whatever the return is for him.

$4-4.5 million is the going rate for young goalies with exceptional seasons.

Elvis Merzlikins played 33 games in his rookie season and it earned him $4 million. Ilya Sorokin played only 22 games and it earned him $4 million.

Fair enough. I’ll eat crow if it’s over $3.5. Somewhere around Vanacek is where my money’s at. 3.2-3.4.
