Trades
1.
MIN
  1. Rosén, Isak
Additional Details:
MNs defense will crater from this, but they clear cap during the heavy buyout years and get an ultra skilled prospect in Rosen.
BUF
  1. Spurgeon, Jared
Additional Details:
Never gonna waive, but Spurgeon with Power on 2nd pair behind MS and RD would make for a pretty ridiculous top 4
2.
MIN
ANA
  1. Goligoski, Alex
  2. 2023 6th round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
Anywhere if you can....if not, you may have to look at moving Merrill instead, but regardless you can't afford to just keep both. Dumb signings by Billy.
3.
MIN
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (VAN)
DET
  1. Addison, Calen [RFA Rights]
4.
MIN
  1. Wahlstrom, Oliver [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Draft is prolly too deep for MN to do this, but Wild have a solid prospect pool and IMO can afford to take a swing. Wahlstrom is a Shattuck guy and BC alum with Billy Guerin and Boldy. I think if he can stay healthy, he can settle into a role here and really find his game.
NYI
  1. 2023 1st round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
Isles get a 1st in the stacked 23 draft to either use themselves or parlay into a separate deal

I mean we just spent two 1st on wingers all coming over after next season. We shouldn't spend thus year 1st on a winger

Dumba probably gets a better longer deal elsewhere.

From all of the reports out of Minnesota that know Dumba and his love for Minnesota well, there's a prevailing sense that he'd accept a hometown discount to stay with the Wild........if they welcome him back, which Guerin has said he's open to and not "closing the door" on yet. If the Wild move on, then Dumba obviously has no choice and will try to max out his market value with one of the other 31 teams.

I agree, I just like trying different stuff and having some fun. Wahlstrom has been sorta re-inventing himself as power forward type with goal scoring prowess, so i think he’d thrive here and Billy would love him.

But yeah no way it actually happens

If we draft wingers, the gm and scout Judd brackett should have heat big time

Dumba would accept this or something very similar to stay in MN. This doesn’t get it done on the open market tho.

Comps have him around a 3x4.5M and it’s been exhaustively reported how much he loves being in MN.

It's also been exhaustively reported how there is no way to keep Dumba financially. We'll see what the GM can do in the offseason but it was pretty clear that everyone believes he will not be back next year.

Yes I’m well aware. But him not coming back doesn’t mean he wouldn’t accept a discount if it were feasible. It’s well beyond discount territory to keep him.
