Toronto doesn’t need picks and it would probably help the team to have someone on the team that would rise to the challenge when times get tough instead of just collapsing like they do every year

Last time he was in the playoffs he had 9 points in 15 games. Matthews had 11 this year lol. Nylander 9. Tavs 10. O’Reilly 9. Jarnkrok 3. Seems like an extra 9 points would have come in handy lol. What points don’t tell you is that all your players don’t have a compete level high enough to win a Stanley cup. Laughton does. Laughton has the same number of playoff series wins as the Leafs lifers on this team and he’s been in playoffs like 3-4 times his whole career lol. He’s paraded as one of the best dudes in the league in terms of attitude and compete level but sure just run it back with your team cause that’s worked so well over the years. 100+ points a year just to join the Flyers on the golf course less than a week later 😂

Oh right, because missing the playoffs for 3 years and making it only 3 times in his entire 11 year career is the same as making the playoffs. This is my favorite loser response of all time. "Your team lost in the 2nd round! Hahahaha what a bunch of losers! It's so funny because for some reason the leafs losing in the 2nd round is worse than my teams decade of disappointment!"

If Laughton was a difference maker, he would have more than 24 playoff games over his entire career.

So first you say Laughton is only a 3rd liner and then you say Laughton should be good enough to will a bad team to the playoffs each year. Leafs fans are my favorite to debate with cause if you talk long enough their own logic will contradict itself. What 3rd liner has ever been that much of a difference maker that he willed a bad team to the playoffs? Sorry I hit a nerve when saying that the 3rd liner making $3M a year produces at a slightly less rate in the playoffs as your “stars” getting paid 3x as much😂. Also the Flyers have been to the same stage as the Leafs in the playoffs despite a “decade of disappointment” so what does that say about the Leafs?

You want a 1st for a 3rd liner who you pumped up as a difference maker and now are back tracking after it's pointed out just how ridiculous it was. This is hilarious, I could spend days just repeating what you said last back to you and you'll somehow flip it in your mind that you won an argument despite making fun of yourself the whole time. It's priceless. I don't even have to work here, just point out your own words and you'll insult them for me. Just a circle of self burns you just don't understand you're the one burning yourself.

You just posted an entire paragraph saying I’m doing to you what I just said you’re doing to me lol. I said Laughton would give the team grit and leadership to help them rise to the challenge. Keyword “HELP” I never said he was THE guy. And considering both other Leafs fans and Flyers fans agree that Laughton will fetch a 1st. Clearly it isn’t me who is the one off base here

You should probably go back and read this thread man. It all started out with me saying Laughton is a 3rd liner who isn't worth a 1st. You called him a difference maker because he shows up when it counts. I pointed out he only has 10 points in 24 playoff games. You then chose to point to 1 playoff run where he had 9 points in 15 games which somehow made him better than all the Leafs players (I don't get that one either but hey, this whole thread is just insane). I then asked "if he is indeed such a difference maker why has he never been able to make a difference?" To which you "called me out" for calling him a difference maker (that is in fact how you framed him) and then I pointed out how all I have to do is repeat your own words and you'll laugh at me like you somehow beat me. And now here we are. You're a hopeless philly homer. Which I shouldn't expect anything from really. You guys are proud of being the worst sports fans in the entire world. It's stunning

The words difference maker was never said lol I said he would help. I see you just want to take shots at the Flyers and their players apparently so this discussion is useless u think ur the smartest in the room when ur own fans disagree with you. I’ll just report, block, and go about my day.

It cost the Flames a 1st to get rid of 1 year of Sean Monahan at a similar cap hit. I think that would be the starting price for Matt Murray, so that trade will be for future considerations. As for the 2nd trade, I could see the leafs looking for a similar value, but a bit of a different composition of players. A trade around McCann from SEA, or Scheifele from WPG or For example a package around Tomasino and Novak from NSH. Again I don't know if they'll get it, but they'll regret trading Marner for Eberle and Gourde.
