How do we know he is washed when he's been injured for the past 2 years? If he can return to even a 60 point player, he's worth more than this garbage above as he will still be good defensively.

I don't see the Flames doing that trade. I might be over valuing our players, but last season I thought both Backlund, and Hanifin played on a higher level than Boeser. The retention helps but a 2nd and a prospect that's not even in the top 10 with the Canucks aren't enough.

Coots was pretty much ready to come back at the end of last year but was shut down as a precaution. If he comes back 100% next year he is our best player. I get the contract right now is scary but there is no way you sell that low.
