I think this trade would be good for both teams OTT getting out of rebuild and toronto trying to win Nylander asn't shown shown enought. Hes also been moved up and down the lines going from 1st to 2nd to 3rd
And Debrincat would be a great trio of Matthews and Marner

I agree cuz they only have 3 draft picks this draft and giving up their top 2 and adding draft picks that dont mean anything is not good and nylander has wayyyyy more value then debrincat because hes overall better and cheaper.

Nylander is better than Debrincat.

I could maybe see a 1 for 1 type deal if Toronto feels like they need to trade one of the big four while making as close to a lateral move as possible, but really, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Ottawa also is getting up there in cap. If Dorion wants to add a legitimate starting goalie, odds are they aren't replacing Debrincat with another 8Mish cap hit winger. Unless the cap goes up much higher, it won't work. They went the entire year without Norris, so even with losing Debrincat, they will still add a top 6 forward internally with Norris hopefully playing the entire season.
