I like this for Ottawa not really PIT retaining salary for almost nobody Zub is a bottom pairing d man making 4 mill and and Backup at best Mads sogard for a aging bottom pairing defensman a guranteed good bauckup and a 3rd? I think both teams say no in general

Lol Zub is a really good top 4 defensive Dman what? He's the best piece in this whole deal.

I don't get why people keep putting Zub in so many proposals.

Anything is possible if the Senators change management and coaching after new owners come in, but from a team makeup POV, it doesn't make sense. He is probably the second least likely D to go after Sanderson. He is the only RHD in the top 4 and he has a relatively low cap hit.

Sogaard isn't going unless a legitimate starter is coming who will block him over the next 4-5 seasons. If the Senators go after a big fish goalie from a rebuilding or retooling team, he might make sense as a piece. He doesn't make sense if DeSmith is the goalie.
