Its not like its an immovable contract. At most they pay a first rounder to offload him. But the way I see it, he’s actually not a bad backup option for you guys while Kochetkov develops another year.

Assuming Nylander would be open to extending Canes would 100% take on one year of Murray to acquire him. Our front office has been trying to get their hands on him for years and we have plenty of cap space even with guys re-signed. Could probably even change the second to a first and add a prospect.
