Let me get this straight: Toronto trades out of the stacked 2023 draft (in which we only have 3 draft picks) for a slightly earlier pick in 2 years to take on a horrible contract? Yeah, no thanks

not to mention having to resign igor in 2 years, massive contract. Back end is so much $ and the Defense sucks. Defense was horrible, igor bailed them out/

Why's that? Trouba is slightly overpaid, but he's still decent.
Kubalik is a decent player, but at best a 2nd rounder.
A 3rd to fill our RHD hole with a decent guy and a 1st for Kubalik seems like a great deal.

I suppose I need to look at the wings cap situation and defense corps, but Trouba is a 2 if not 3rd pairing dman getting paid an outrageous $8 mill, he also barely puts up points. Believe me the wings don’t wanna be stuck with that for 4 more years. They’ll have to buy him out

What good is a first round pick for a team that can't develop players...

Moving that 8 mill would be huge, even if a 1st is attached. Max contract for igor not far away
