I don't do this as either team. But this year, Detroit would keep the picks and just use them. I doubt they'd want to move up unless some guy really blew their mind is still available at 12 and Arizona really likes a guy they think will go 20 or whatever.

Don't agree there in regards to Detroit. Detroit needs to emerge from the rebuild and they don't have much top end blue chip starpower. Now is exactly the time to be aggressive trading up should there be someone they want available.

Most years yeah, but if this year is anything like 2015 or 2003, you're going to find a bunch of starpower between picks 15 and 45 if your scouts are really good. NJ traded up to draft Parise in 2003, so it most certainly is possible that Detroit throws a 2nd rounder at someone to move up. I also see it as possible they trade for a really good player from another team with that pick.
