Agreed, but in more ways than one.
Really like their game play and roster. But they need to add an offensive catalyst, with their roster they can afford to carry a high skilled, but less forecheck/defense player. Honestly Panarin's biggest plus to Carolina would be the PP. They have to make teams pay more in the playoffs for taking penalties. I'd like him feeding Aho in the bumper and Svechnikov on the opposite circle. They have a few Dmen that can both shoot the puck, get it through, and walk the blueline with the puck.
PP alone was the reason NYR advanced bye Carolina in '22 playoffs.
Canes were really good last year '22.

He's a very skilled player with a bright future.
It's not easy to play the Hurricane way all the time. They are constantly on the attack, it makes it very difficult to play against them.
But for Jarvis, he's made much closer to a Panarin type player as opposed to Jesper Fast or Jordan Staal.
So for me, it's a possibility he struggles, learning in the NHL , at a style maybe not ideally suited for his game at this point of his career.
Would be betting on his future for sure.

NYR should also consider moving Kreider. If for only that his value is at its all time high right now. No. I'm not in favor of moving him, for me it's easy to see the difference in Zibanijed with Kreider as opposed with Panarin. But NYR has to make a tough decisions and I'd prefer to give the Kids the entire 2nd line and PP time all year.

How much does Kreider move the needle for Carolina?
Honestly , at 6.5 for 3 more years there would be a bidding war for Kreider.
