Description

Part 1;
VAN makes a draft-day deal with ANA to acquire a new 3C while the Ducks get the better, younger winger to play with one of their many young potential star centers. VAN includes a 2023 4th round pick and ANA includes "future considerations".

Part 2;
After Sept 1st (or whenever Myers' final $5m bonus is paid by the Canucks), the big RHD is shipped to the Ducks to fulfill the "future considerations" portion of the first trade. ANA gets a decent Dman for one year at a $6m cap hit but only $1m in real salary. This would've been a handshake agreement on the draft floor that allowed both teams to go into free agency with a clearer picture of their roster needs and cap space available.
