If Olof is traded, I think you have to replace him with someone like Kulich, who can score. No one on that line is a real goal scorer.

Quinn and Peterka can score more this season. Also, Savoie can score and pass, yes, maybe this is a strange line, but I would be interested to see it. I like Kulich, but he still can't play a good two-way game, he needs to work on it, they can also lift him at any moment. I liked Savoie because he is already good in defense, he can win face-offs, a good forecheck and good engine. Also, he cannot be sent to the AHL, unlike Kulich. I think if he does well in camp and preseason he'll be in Buffalo.

The fact that he cant go to the AHL is a bad reason to give him an NHL spot though. He has just as much he needs to work on. Kulich's two way game as a weakness is over-exaggerated. I dont need him to be a two way player. His play away from the puck right now looks like what anyone who just turned 19 would look like. But he torched the AHL relative to his age and sending him back just makes it more likely he picks up bad habits because he knows hes so much better than everyone else and can get away with playing a sloppier game.

Sabres like to graduate prospects at the same time so the next wave can get the ice time they need. If we're talking about earning a spot for play at both ends of the ice, Rosen should be the guy. He's the only one of the three whose off puck play is remotely close to good.

Read my entire post. I said if Savoie looks good in camp and preseason he might be in Buffalo next season. I think it's possible. I've seen a lot of Kulich play and there's work to be done there, just like the rest of the prospects.

I did, I think regardless of his play in camp he's going to back to the WHL. He'd have to be the best player on the Sabres to steal a spot. There's a bit of pressure to perform next year, cant have too many rookies playing high leverage minutes.

I've seen Kulich play too, he can learn plenty in the NHL

Well, we'll see, although I think that Savoie can look great in the NHL due to his qualities and also learn a lot like Kulich.

Almost every 1st rounder with his DY and DY+1 numbers at EV went back to juniors for their DY+2 year, and many of them actually benefited from that. I know ppl hate the transfer agreement, but the WHL is actually a great development league where he'll get a star role and potentially a slot on team Canada. Seems very ideal to me.

I'm just not sure what else he needs to develop in WHL, also the downside is that Buffalo will not control his development. Adams likes his prospects to develop in the system (Buffalo and Rochester). I think Savoie could very well return to WHL, but I also think there's a chance he could stay in Buffalo. At the moment, Savoie is good as a two-way player and this is his advantage, they can use him in any role and he can be useful. He is good as a center, in defense and on the spot, on the forecheck and fast play, he can play as a winger. It's an attractive skill set. But maybe another year in WHL won't hurt him.

Idk where the good two way players stuff comes from, his defensive game needs as much work as any of the other guys. And there's still a lot of talk about him playing on the wing. He could work on positioning, play making, and build confidence.

I mean i wont be mad if he makes the team, but history shows that him going back is best for him

He's been good this season, even though it's WHL, but he seems to be working on the job the Sabres gave him. He fired up in the middle of the season and in the playoffs. Someone on twitter posted his metrics and he was very good, he created a lot of chances, although he did not get points.
