I don’t think Toronto does that…. I kid, Seattlle definitely does not do this. Berniers projects to be as good as Nylander and he’s a center. Wright isn’t tranding well but was drafted 4th overall last year and still has big value.

I can see a Marner or Nylander to Seattle trade being realistic. But in both cases I do not see Beniers or Wright or McCann coming back the other way.

Teams typically don’t give up young, promising 1C prospects. In Bernier’s case he’s not even a prospect, bonafide star in waiting. Plus Leafs are better off keeping Willy-he’s the better player currently and that’s all I care about.

I’m good with your thoughts on Matty Beniers, I too think that’s a long shot
I actually was leaning towards Wright anyways his style I thought would fit better as a 1A C behind Mathews.
Curious to know what other people think. How far off do you think the value is?

From a leafs fan what else would Seattle have to offer for Marner and nylander I don’t really see much else

I’m not a SEA fan but I think Wright could be traded idk for who yet MAYBE similar to a Dach trade.

Dach was traded for a 1st (13th) and a 3rd. So then is nylander with an extension not worth that or more?
Nylander = tkachuk > 1st and 3rd

I like nylander I think maybe you can get Wright with an extension in place but idk if SEA would do it considering he’s a young center.

As good as Nylander may be, Seattle is deep in talent on the wing and not hurting for offense in the least. Furthermore, the Kraken still place the importance of building through the draft as a top priority. Dealing either of their ONLY 2 first round draft selections at this early stage would be counter to that plan and structure.
