No reason for Columbus to give up on Foudy for a player who's value is uncertain. Sharangovich had a nice season in 2021 but hasn't really shown much since then.

This is such a terrible return. If I’m trading Sharangovich, I want to trade into the first round or get a second in this years draft and 3rd/4th next year.

Fwiw, shooting % was down by 4.5%. Had he had the same shooting % stats as last year, his goal total would’ve been very close to 20. One year removed from a 24 goal campaign and two years removed from 16 G / 54 GP which would’ve been another 20 goal campaign had he played a full season. Analytically he’s very solid, plays a two way game and is a reliable penalty killer. The only real deficiencies in his game is he needs a good playmaking center to anchor his line so he can finish his chances.

Sharangovich would get more if we moved him.

We should keep in one more year, then decide in 2024 when we have to pay Mercer.

In the minors until he proves he's ready.

How is he going to prove he's ready in the minors? The year before last he was point per game; he has nothing left to learn in Utica

By improving his foot speed and 200 foot game, and then showing he can transition that to the NHL. In his stints in the NHL he's proven he is nowhere close to being ready, and I have serious doubts that he ever will.

This is not how development works, and I'm not sure you're watching the same Holtz I'm watching. His foot speed is fine, it may be below average but it is NHL quality. He will not improve his pace of play in Utica. The only way for his pace of play to become NHL quality is for him to be playing and practicing at an NHL pace.

Then he may have to learn how to do that on a team that isn't trying to win hockey games, because he's too much of a liability to play a regular shift in the Devils system.

His footspeed (and decision making) are both legitimate problems if he is ever going to become a scorer in the NHL. I'd rather having him playing games in the AHL then sitting in the pressbox.
