BOS new attempt

Description
ANA trade - I still think Forbort is a valuable bottom pair guy and great PK, just too pricey for us in cap trouble. If no one willing to take him, i suppose can add a pick too if needed

ARI trade - can be anyone. I think swapping something like this may benefit a team. Find a home for someone that needs a change of scenery, and if doesn't work, or can't flip him at deadline, it's last year of contract, so no real risk

CBJ trade - i've seen this on a lot of ACGM lately, and i think could be a good trade. I know CBJ all set now with Provorov, but still one of the best +/- in the league last year and can play off-side comfortably. If not CBJ, then can find another home for similar cost/young forward

LAK - Might not happen now with Petersen gone, but i think would be an upgrade over Korpisalo. They have like 15 NHL and even more almost ready, so i'm sure they won't miss him. Durzi is making sure cap still comfortable for them, and again they have a few D coming up that'll need time. I think the added 5th they won't miss, but if too much can take off

PHI - I've seen this on a few ACGM lately too, just a different variation of it - Bottom 6 forward, decent goalie prospect, and 2 middle round picks. May get outbid on this one, or need to up a pick

Lias Andersson i know in the past has complained that he wants a chance, and a retooling team like us he can maybe get that chance. Not sure he fits anywhere in LA system
JBD - Ive been seeing some OTT fans aren't too high on him, so figured we'd make an offer. If that's too low a cost or doesn't make sense for OTT not to sign him, then no big deal

Our D is completely depleted so maybe move Hall for a Top 4 D-Man, but what team would do that, or move to someone for like a 2nd and 3rd and sign one with that free space, but will need a lot of young players to step up. We're in a tough spot with cap and prospects, but we do have a handful knocking on the door

Kings decline, not enough cap and too expensive of a goalie for LA.

I'm pretty sure that my Anaheim brethren and I had settled on our 2023 fifth for Derek Forbort.

I'm curious if you guys plan to stay with Korpi, or what he'd want for a contract. That would stink for us if it didn't work haha. I still think Turcotte can turn it around.

I'd take that. I know we don't have the space to keep him but i really don't think he's just a cap dump

Two days ago, I would have said that there's no way Blake would pay that for Ullmark.

After seeing his decisions from the last two days, who the hell knows anymore?

I think one of the picks would need to be a 2nd or 3rd to get Hayes with the rest of that deal

If bergeron comes back, do we really need Hayes? We have Zacha

5th for Forbort

I would take that LAK trade and run, no way LAK does that tho

CBJ trade is bad for BOS, basically getting nothing in return for top 4 LD, could do better

Hayes is garbage and making way too much $, even if u retain and offer nothing in return like u did, it aint worth for BOS

I saw a few with just Gasseau and a 3rd, so that was my thinking, but definitely see that as fair

I would agree, but we have no long term replacement at C (not that Hayes is necessarily the answer, and next year, if there's any value left with him (maybe he turns it around a bit coming home) we'll be in a slightly better cap situation to maybe flip at the deadline with less term on his deal to a contender and maybe even retain 1 mil or so for a higher pick was also a thought. I think we have to remember too, we're in a bad spot, and the GM's around the league will definitely take advantage of the situation if they can
