Description
The Dubois trade is obviously assuming he would sign a contract with Toronto, which is probably wishful thinking. It is also assuming Winnipeg is trading helly, so acquiring Samsonov is a goalie to keep them competitive. They get a young goalie who just posted a 2.33 and .920, a young nhl d man ready to take the next step, a b level prospect and 2 picks.

Also apparently Murray likely won’t even pass his physicals before the season so not having to get rid of his contract would be huge.

Not bad. Seems like good value for both teams. Just not sure how the Leafs would manage the season where Matthews and Nylander have new contracts.

Luckily the cap is supposed to go up 4-5 million heading into 24-25. Once Tavares 11 million comes off the books there would be no issues.

Columbus isn't trading an early 2nd for Brodie.

Toronto gets their Walmart Verizon off Tkachuck that they currently don’t have.

Brodie trade is to any team really just gets him off the books.
