That's not even pretending to be close for Carolina. That is liek the Canes offering 2 2nds for Jamie Drysdale. Stop it

Yeah it is... Don would probably demand a first + 3 or 4 good prospects

I guess this is my way of admitting I don't watch enough Canes games, lol

That seems to be the consensus.

Think of Pesce like a better version of what Josh Manson was in his prime, not so good offensively, but one of the best in the defensive zone. More or less, imagine a right-handed Slavin

I just don't know how much more they're really going to get for him. Making 4 mil on an expiring deal and due for a big raise, I could see a first for sure alongside a second or a prospect but not sure how much more you get than that considering the "bargain" years are about done. If he had more term I'd obviously expect it to cost a lot more.

canes arent rebuilding, we need a reason to move Pesce. 2 2nds arent a reason to do that.

They wouldn't move Pesce for futures. Plus, Cory Lavelette, Carolina's Athletic reporter, has already started suggesting both him and Skjei are going to have their agents talked to after they figure out what the hell they're doing with Aho.

Neither of these moves make sense for the Ducks. Those are premium assets for guys who walk in a year.

There are sufficient options available in free agency.
