Only happens if PLD is willing to sign an extension with Calgary. Calgary would have to move another pending UFA elsewhere to free up enough cap space for the resigning. Preferably Toffoli, Backlund or Hanifin.

Condition: If Montreal elects to take the 2025 Florida 1st then Winnipeg receives Calgary's 2024 1st instead.

Jets decline, I love Tanev and Kadri but there isn’t enough value for PLD or Connor.

What?! Two good veteran players including a top 6 center signed long term and a top notch shutdown defenseman plus 2 first round picks and 2 top prospects who are each worth a 1st. If anything that might a bit too much for BOTH PLD and Connor. Winnipeg is probably not just losing PLD but Scheifele too.

That's the equivalent of 5 or 6 first round picks. You're crazy if you thinkthat's not enough for even just ONE of PLD or Connor.

I have to agree, this would be an ideal trade for both teams. Better long term for the Jets and could help to set up additional future trades.

lets be honest.... the jets are in no position to hold teams against pld trade value because he's the reason your team is trading him in the first place!

The Jets won't be looking to get older if they trade PLD and Connor.

They are getting two young players and 2 picks. The Kadri and Tanev are for salary matching, and they could probably move Kadri with retention for another high pick or prospect

If the Peg does decide to rebuild (and i doubt it will be decided prior to February) this isn't a bad consideration

Definitely not. The pieces with the most value are a 32 YO 2C with an awful, awful, awful long term contact and a 33 YO defenseman already falling off his last leg.

The two young pieces are very meh and one of the 1sts is 3 drafts away.

There's simply nothing worth considering for Winnipeg when Connor on his own would get far better players that don't have one foot in the grave for an athlete.

I'll give you the contract is a problem that's why I said they would likely have to pay it down to get max value back, but he's still a valuable piece.

Hell some of the Flames fans on here think think Lindholm walks on water but his overall stats are on par with Kadri.
