I would accept that offer as the Anaheim GM as long as the protection on the first was limited to top-4.

I don't really think any decisions were that bad.

Just have that asterisk that we know Carter isn't waiving and I'm pretty sure the cap is going to be 83.5 unless I missed something.

I think the only way Carter waives is if he's retiring, because he's definitely not moving.

Cap is probably 83.5 but AFAIK that's not completely set in stone as of yet?
