win all the way around
chi gets 2 extra pick and decent top 9 player and cap. cap will expire same time bedard gets paid 1st big money. can always flip at deadline with retained for more picks chi 7th is not a pick its future considerations.
van has future goalies in system time to throw them in fire granlund will do as 3c. save almost 10m cap space.
pit gets its goalie.
trades myers 1m retained and legare for future considerations to team needing cap. legare has 4th maybe 3 line potential.

Canucks wouldn’t do that to take on Granlunds contract, let alone give up their franchise goalie and Garland as well

vancouver needs cap space garland is a wing not a center they have their two future goalies in the system both are ready.
they have nothing at 3c in the system. granlund would be very servicable 3c and they get cap space needed and 2 decent young prospect. for a 4th basically.
maybe they can swing better trades seperately maybe not, but this check all the boxes.

This trade is so hilariously bad for Vancouver it's not even funny...

1. The Garland dump, isn't a dump. They are and probably will have him traded as a "free asset"
2. Why is Garland going to both Chicago and the Pens? with no retention going anywhere?
3. Granlund is a very bad, over paid 3c. And everything else you put in this trade doesn't even equal taking on his contract...
4. Finally Demko is worth more than anything in this trade, like it's not even close to being fair for Vancouver. This is like highway robbery...

Canucks wouldn't cap dump Demko. They'd need high value to part with him and they aren't going to take on a different bad contract.
