Trading into the 1st adding some Vets and running it back

Created by: KDev
Team: 2023-24 New Jersey Devils
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 11, 2023
Published: Jun. 11, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Devils make the Sharangovich trade and see there guy available at the end of the 1st, not going to speculate or predict who that could be.
Team needs to run it back and fight through regression. Doubt they’ll get back to 112 points this year with the inexperience in the lineup, especially on the blue line but they should still be a playoff team. Add a vet bottom 6 forward in Cogs as a backup to Foote and Stallone is brought in as #3/#4 with Daws.

Biggest concern with this team is defensive depth. A couple bad injuries and they could get exposed big time. Had this not been a concern I would’ve opted for Walsh in the lineup and negate the trade to Toronto.

I like Tanev from Cal better than Brodie
I'd keep Yegor, teams that go deep have some size and it's not all superstars who win games. He's got good pk skills, size etc

    Tanev would cost significantly more

Why not keep 38 and 80? 6 spot difference and the guy you want could slip and keep a 3rd

I personally think it’d cost more than that
