I think Helly would be great in LA and think last weeks move was preemptive to try and get space to try and aquire him. Too bad Grans is gone. He would have been nice.
It’s going to suck to lose him, he was an absolute beauty and will be missed but hope he gets some serious chances at some cups.
That said, LA definitely has some good pieces to get him.

Ideally the Kings get retention if they go the Hellebuyck route, albeit it’s not favourable due to his expiring UFA status.

If the Kings are trading Durzi I’d use him in the Hellebuyck trade. He doesn’t clear enough cap to be traded for picks, and the Jets probably prefer that over strictly picks/prospects.

LA had kicked tires on Saros. They may circle back but idk. Like you said now with hellybuck stating won’t resign like you said. LAs priority should be him. Than the other 2 goalies. He’s older than the other 2 but at this point I don’t care I think he’s the best of the 3 and whatever else goaltender is out there on the market

He can give the kings a strong playoff push next season and maybe even resign him at a decent deal. Maybe 4/8AAV with the cap going up and arvidsson off the books next year. Idk, im crossing my fingers Blake gets a good #1 goalie this offseason.

I did think about adding Durzi to the trade. Either way I traded him. But he could be added in the deal, that’s fair. If that’s what WPG needs.

So why aren't you using Durzi and Arvidsson to get Hellebuyck? They are assets the Jets can use and you can keep (checks notes) Carlos grundman
