Why though? You have more than enough room to keep Sammy and bury Murray in the AHL

Draft assets...

Dubas kind of screwed the next GM by giving away so many Draft picks for nothing.

Probably one of the reasons Dubas was fired.

Keeping Murray as a regular goalie.....kinda just dooms the Leafs for next season. Murrays's going to be injured so you really want Woll and ?, the Leafs don't have any Marlies with NHL experience to play goal.

Nah keep Sammy

LA basically lowered the price on dumping a goalie

Pete was dumped for a 2nd and was making 5mill for 2more years

Play your cards right u can dump Murray whose only on a 1 year deal now for a 3rd

Willy is more valuable than a top 4 D (who doesn’t contribute offense). And terrevainen is coming off a down year. Goals are what win playoff series & Willy is one of the few leafs that looked dangerous; we should keep him and add a veteran dman via FA (bring back Schenn)

For a late 2nds and 2 late 3rds? Pass, I'd rather have the .919 goaltender

Well looking at the VGK soon to be Cup winning goalie duo (both added mid-late season) is Hill, traded for a 4th Rd pick and Quick traded for a 7th Rd pick.

Goalies aren't that hard to find mid season.

Meh, if you listen to people on this site, trading away Murray will take the Bos 1st Rd pick at the most to the NYI 3rd Rd pick at the least.

So, trading Sammy saves you the cash dump bribery and those added picks from trading Sammy.

Murray probably would waive to follow Dubas and rejoin the Pens.

If they trade Murray it will be with the Boston 1st for a mid 2nd a-la Mrazek, I don't put any stock into the Leaf tax on this site

Honestly, I 100% hope the Leafs sent Murray to Newfoundland next year.

I wouldn't mind either but it saves only about 350,000 in cap.

Everybody praises Dubas on his skills at Drafting, yet besides Sandin who has made the jump (other than Knies) >?

Robertson, Maybe.
Abruzzesse, Maybe.
Hirvonen, No.
SDA, No.
Hollowell, No.
Holmberg, Maybe.
Kokkonen, No.
Rindell, No.
Abramov, No.
Niemela, >?.
Amirov, No.
Tverberg, No.
Ovchinnikov, No.

So it's time to force the younger player into the lineup, whether they are ready or not.

The old timer's Dubas kept bringing in wasn't working out as planned.

I don't praise Dubas drafting or even his GM skills. Leafs have traded away so many good picks...in the past (and going forward) has left the Leafs prospects "barren". Every year the Leafs have been scrambling to sign fading UFAs on cheap contracts, instead of having young players on their ELCs. Just a note...Dubas was GM when the Leafs drafted Marner

By all accounts, Mark Hunter Drafted Marner, remember Marner played for the London Knights, who Mark's bro (Dale) controls.

You just bury Murray in LtiR or you put him on Waivers. Win Win.

Well a good GM lets his scouts make the decision. If you remember there are a "TV show" on the draft. Babcock was trying to convince Hunter/Dubas to draft a Dman...Hanifan was available. Dubas considered dropping down to the the # 7 spot also.

Also that defense is SUPER SOFT. They crumpled in the playoffs, and were scared to play in the hard areas. You've only done 1 thing to improve this.
