Retain somewhere between 25% and 40% on Hellebuyck and that's a realistic possibility. I wouldn't like it, but at least it's a realistic possibility.

Lame offer for Connor Hellebuyck, he wants to play close to his Detroit area home. So he's not signing long term with LA And he's not taking no one year rental. He wants to be traded to a team where he can extend long term and that's not LA. They're technically still rebuilding a little.

Boston currently sees Swayman as their likely starter for most of the next decade. They aren't trading him for a couple of picks.

Hadn’t heard that he wanted to sign near home. Source? All we’ve heard in Winnipeg is he wants to sign with a contender.

I think PLD makes the most sense for the Kings and Helle to the Devils.

It came out last summer when his wife gave birth to their child, it was mentioned by a few insiders that he wanted to be near home. And since when is LA a legit contender. They're technically still in their rebuild phase.

Ok. So it’s the same thing as Trouba signing in Detroit. Not something Helle has ever said, just something others have wondered if it would be the case and then it becomes a “fact”. All I’ve heard Helle say is he wants to sign with a contender to win a cup and has no interest in a rebuild.

I think the Kings with Helle would be contenders but we can agree to disagree on that. The playoffs should have showed the Devils they need an upgrade between the pipes and they are my front runner.

Oh perhaps because it's mentioned that they're still slightly rebuilding.

Mentioned by whom ? Come on, substantiate your claim at least if you’re going to be sassy. Act like a lawyer and not an internet troll stuck behind a screen

Top 10 or so in offense, top 5(and all the way up to 2nd in the league at one point) on the powerplay. Around top 5 in faceoff winning percentage and shots against/suppression per game. At one point top in the league at slot shots allowed/high danger chances against. 104 points, 2nd most all time in franchise history. These are not indicators of a team that’s still slightly rebuilding. More like a team who has and more than likely will compete for a playoff spot annually
