Why would SJ take on more cap dump and dead salary than they are shipping out? Lysell is really the only thing of value in this trade, esp if the BOS pick 3 years out is protected. They'll get a better offer elsewhere.

It makes no sense for the Bruins either. They need to free up cap space, but they also need to refill their prospect pool and C depth. Giving up on of their best 2 prospects, their most valuable picks, and their only established center for an aging Karlsson accomplishes one of those tasks at extreme expense of the other two needs.

This trade really makes no sense for either team.
