There are a few possibilities as to why they want to move up

The good options:
Sharks want Michkov and so do the Habs

Ducks take Michkov at #2 and they want Carlsson at #4

Bad Option:
Sharks want Smith and the Habs want him as well

Sharks want Reinbacher and Habs want him as well

Sharks legit decline that offer. Honestly guy, a cap dump in the pitch for 4OA. Use your brain. It would legit take Hutson to get 4OA.

Id rather give up Mesar and Struble over the late 1st. Just so they can use the 31st to move up to 14th

I mean if you’re making a pitch for something you desire, you don’t throw in a cap dump to a small market team just assuming they’ll be okay with it. Its not like this is doing SJS a favor who already has three picks in the top 36. Common sense my man.

If they are so small that they cant afford 3m for a player who still can play in the bottom 6 then maybe they should be relocated to a city that can afford it

Its fairly unprecedented to take a cap dump in a trade for a top 4 pick. Act smarter than you look boy.
