I don't see the need for Hill, and certainly not to that big of a contract.

They overworked VV! He played 53 games, he's only ever played 131 total. Move Schmid into a 1A/1B with VV and we are fine.

Because the Caps were desperate. Hill is not even as good Keumper, at least Keumper had been a full time starter in the past and posted a couple years with an above. 920 sv%. Hill has done neither.

I never said Adin Hill was bad, I said he's an average goaltender who got hot at the right time. He's never started more than 27 games in a single season and his regular season stat line is nearly identical to Vitek's.

Adin Hill is a backup goaltender, and he's not worth over $5m just because his SV% is .004% better than Vitek's. If you want proven talent, then make the trade for Hellebuyck.
