Too much for Cat. this is more than what Ottawa paid to get him.
A 1st, Hanas (which is a 2nd) and a 3rd. That alone is a win for Ottawa just getting their return back. Adding Zadina on there makes this a bigger win for Ottawa and a loss for Detroit. Hanas is also a player that maybe only needs 1-2 years in the AHL before he makes the jump. That's more valuable than a 2nd round pick in this years draft which will be 3-4 years away from playing in the NHL.

And before the Ottawa fans chime in..."but the 1st was 7th overall and this is 17th overall". Frankly the 2022 draft is very weak in comparison to the 2023 draft. Korchinski was taken with the 7th pick and he would be selected maybe in the 15 - 20 range in this years draft. Possibly even between 20 - 25.

I would literally not watch the Red Wings this year if we traded for AND signed Alex DeBrincat to a $9.5m AAV contract.

Vomit.

Uh oh… someone is using logic. Sens fans aren’t going to like that.

NYI 1st, 3rd, Hanas

NYI 1st, Kubalik

NYI 1st, Zadina

Those are your best options from Detroit for DeBrincat.
