I would agree with you if the 2024 1st is Top 10 protected.

You aren't getting Berggren, a first and second for Debrincat. I don't see a situation where Detroit pays more than Ottawa did. Take out the first or Berggren and it's closer.

If the 2024 1st protected the Flyers will likely want more. They have already tureen down 1sts so I assume they don’t want to wait til 2025 for one

Why all the hype for Laughton? Has to be the most overrated trade bait in a long time

Then maybe they don't? We aren't going to pay a premium for him.

That’s not even a premium 😂😂😂. A premium is sending one of 9th overall, Raymond, Kasper, Edvinsson , Cossa etc.

A premium is paying two firsts and a second in value for him.

Nope.

Post all the trades you want but it doesn't change reality. You aren't getting more than you paid and that offer is significantly more than what you paid.

No, it isn't.

Berggren is grossly overrated as a bottom 6 forward.

And DeBrincat will rebound and go back to scoring 40 goals a season.

If you don't want to pay Ottawa's asking price, we'll just trade him to 1 of the other 30 teams that will.

It's that simple.

Have a nice day.

No problem, don't want him anyway. And i stopped listening to anything you said after you said Berggrin was overrated. Good luck with your fantasy land trades. I'm sure you'll be the first person in history to buy a car drive it around for a year and then bring it back performing worse then when you bought it and get a significant profit.

I feel like the DeBrincat trade is favouring Ottawa a little too much, but it feels kind of close. I'd prefer to sign him if we can with the ownership now settled, but a trade isn't the worst thing.
I'm out on Laughton though. There's probably a couple players that are just as good, cost way less, and teams will give them up for free because they've fallen out of favour.
