Easy pass on the Nashville trade. Johansen’s contract is easily the worst getting moved, and Foote is pretty meh

Also by moving the expiring deals of Beauvillier and Myers it’ll be tougher to make cap space for Pettersson and Hronek’s extensions

This team has 24M in cap space next summer. Pettersson at 11M and Hronek at 7M as high end estimates leaves 6M to work around the edges of the roster which is workable.

How much do you have the cap going up next summer? Because from what I see, 1.5M in current space, 7.35 from Petey, 4.4 from Hronek, and the other 1 year deals at 5.9M. That would be 19.15M. I’m not sure if the cap would jump at 5M, but if it did then 6M for Hoglander, Podkolzin, a 4th line, one top 4 dman, another dman, either top 4 or bottom pair, and a backup goalie is practically impossible to make work

You can switch to long term outlook and see that this team has 23.965M in cap space for next year without considering a cap increase.
