canucks likely accept.. 1st + 2nd to move up with the other 2nd for brock makes sense.
they may want 33 though.. 11 is premium is this draft

agreed, always figured if they got a 1st from PIT for miller, they rly wanted turcotte

would hardly call turning a 32 year old into a 26 year old buying. dont think they are gonna full rebuild but who knows. if they are tanking then sure trade dillon for a 4th

because the cap space this offseason allows all those free agents to be brought in. Schenn, Hronek, Bear is a decent right side. but i agree i think the most liekly scenerio is he stays til the deadline

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>Why would the Flyers sell low on Provy? Either pay a reasonable price for a guy that plays 24 min a night or move on</div></div>
if flyers are blowing it up no doubt they can get a haul for guys like him and konecny, just the argument that canucks would sell low on hoglander because he couldnt stick in the league doesnt mean much as his demotion had bigger reasons than his play. 9pts in 25 while playing on the 4th line 90% of the time at 21 isnt a guy who doesnt belong in the league. thats my point.
and if your biggest selling point on him is that he plays a lot, not a great sign. canucks payed less than your suggesting for Hronek, whos younger, better, right handed, and makes less

so why would van sell low on him? was also sent down to keep his waiver status and because he had never played in the ahl. management has made it a point they want EVERYONE to get games in abby (Podkolzin, Aman also sent down. Linus Karlson could have gotten nhl games too this year but canucks development in Abby is a priority)

addresses the canucks need to move wingers but highly doubt Mik is the guy they move. he was great on 1 ACL last year and is exactly the player management was targeting. none of those pieces really move the needle (first is nice, but managment already flipped a first for Hronek so not sure they are in the market for another)

doesnt equate to him being worth moving from 11 to 45 at all. if your gonna say his goal scoring has been down gotta say his playmaking has come leaps and bounds and had 55 pts in his "down year". still 26. when has that ever been worth sliding 30 PREMIUM spots in a stacked draft

i honestly dont mind it IF managment can get a guy they had ranked near 11. extra 2nd is nice and freeing that cap allows signings like domi and graves

By the time they re-up Kurashev, the lesser Jones, and a few others, they will be one free agent and one bad contract away from the floor. The pressure is on the several teams who would like their bad contract to be the one Chicago takes. ("hello, new Toronto GM. Can you believe what they're expecting us to take on to move up 8 spots in the draft? Get Matt Murray ready . . . we're in for another ex-Leaf goalie.")</div></div>
expecting you to take on a solid yung winger and a guy you can flip for an asset in 6 months? AND you get to move up. what free agent is gonna sign in chicago????

Chi can get cap nearly anywhere, if it's too rich for VAN then they can pay the cap overage fee, which will be much much more...</div></div>
they can get cap from anywhere yes. but to get cap (Myers who can be flipped later if your owner isnt penny pinching, shouldnt with szn ticket sales) a young, 50+ pt winger, AND move up in a stacked sraft is a uniquie situation only vancouver and chicago can really do. and ARZ traded up to 11 with 27,34,45 last year in a far worse draft so no, it wont take a high 3rd. 19,44, and a 3rd MAYBE

yes the biggest thing the canucks need is cap space. if chicago wants to move up it is a unique situation with the flat cap where both teams can help each other. chicago needs 20+ mil to even hit the floor so unless your gonna throw money at free agents that will hurt you down the line this deal makes sense for both sides im sorry you dont see that. take all the players out and it would cost chicago way more in picks to move up in this stacked draft

Myers is easier moved and will cost less, if anything by waiting 5 days after the draft when his bonus is paid out and some of the UFA D are gone.
To move back from a premium player at 11oa to pick a good player at 19oa will cost Chicago more than Ottawa 2nd. That in of itself is the usual trade value, of an average draft, to move from 19 to 11</div></div>
myers bonus is payed sept 15 for some reason or else id agree with you. if allvin think they can get a guy they have ranked 10-12 at 19 and they can get back into the second round i can see him looking at trading down but i agree id rather take our pick of the bunch at 11 than risk it.
and i agree not sure when boeser became a negative asset

yeah if it were myers on his own... your also getting a young 50+ point winger and moving up in a stacked draft. flip myers for ANYTHING at the deadline next year as long as your owner isnt penny pinching.. shouldnt be with all the season tickets bought

its not like its oel going back... boeser in not a negative asset and will play top line top pp chicago next year and is still young. myers will be able to be flipped easily at the deadline for an asset. would be the most discounted trade up in history if your owner isnt stingy about aying myers bonus. need 20+ mil to even hit the floor

chicago not exactly strapped for cash and this would be the biggest discount to move up to 11 in a stacked draft in history. you get a young top 6 winger who had 55 pts in a 'down year' and myers who can be flipped at the deadline for some sort of asset. as long as your owner isnt stingy this is your best chance to move up, where you add assets AND move up, while weaponizing your cap. and your gripe is 44OA????
