cant see VAN paying to dump anyone but OEL. but if your taking garland at his full salary it would be quite cheap, but not free.

Garland is a good player. Not a cap dump. Probably wouldn’t cost too much to acquire though

I’d rather the Preds retool over them bringing in Debrincat

Bring in Beauvillier, not Garland. Greig needs to be in the top-9, he's better than Pinto IMO

    Tkachuk - Stutzle - Giroux
    Tomasino - Norris - Batherson
    Greig - Pinto - Beauvillier
    Crookshank - Kastelic - Joseph
    Kelly

    That forward group is perfect

Come playoff time though if that team gets their honest question do you not think that bottom 6 gets pushed around? A little more size imo is required there imo Joseph doesn't quite cut it and neither does crookshank in the playoffs and Greig - Pinto - Beavilillier looks like a great third line imo just need a little more size

Garland you could probably get for free. Beauvillier will cost something. I think JBD would be a target for Vancouver in a beau trade.

You should try whatever possible to get Tomasino on the RW. He’s on his off-side here, and I don’t think he did near as well when he was in that role for Nashville

Yeah but I'll start worrying about that once we make the playoffs lol

Crookshank and Greig are not the biggest guys but they play the right way, sorta like Pageau. "It's not about the size of the dog but the fight in the dog"

I much prefer guys like that than Curtis Sanford or even Julien Gauthier

But maybe target a guy with size instead of Beauviller (since the others are already here). What about Jordan Greenway? He had a poor season so could be had for cheap again (but doubt the Sabres would give up so fast)

    That's a fair point

Jordan greenway could help or you could go after only one of Garland or Beauvillier and sign Barbashev? He's got size for that top 6. Greenway could go onto the fourth line and that would be a bigger lineup that's much much harder to play against

Damn, I meant "It's not about the size of the dog but the fight in the dog"

And relating to your point, that's why I never understood why Nick Paul wasn't signed long term... which also pissed off Connor Brown who then wanted to be traded

    Tkachuk - Stutzle - Giroux
    Greig - Norris - Batherson
    Paul - Pinto - Brown
    Crookshank - Kastelic - Gauthier

I really like that lineup. Paul and Brown would have been ideal for Pinto's development... not DeBrincat and Batherson who are more offensive wingers... Sometimes, you need more 2-way forwards than less.
