Poltapov is a nice prospect. But Comrie is a cap dump, Olofsson is a cap dump. This isn't even close. Carolina want to keep Pesce anyway and the rumor right now is that extension will get done according to the Athletic. Dreger only reported they'd move him if he wouldn't sign

40 points and one of the worst defensive players in the league. He's a cap dump.

I believe if the Canes ultimately end up trading Pesce, it will be in a swap for a top-6 big fish, not a package. Just my take.

I'm glad I didn't work to have one of the best shots in the NHL and the potential to be a 30-goal scorer in the NHL to be a cap dump.
