Rossi is an NHL-ready prospect, I think his 2-year deal is too valuable in navigating the dead cap for the Wild to give up. Whoever they draft will likely need a year or two to be in the same position.

It's also kind of early to want to deal away a top 10 pick who plays a position of need after only being given limited opportunities in the lineup.

Buffalo declines, if we hadn't traded for Greenway then I would think about it.

GMBL makes a lot of good points, but yes…I do believe the Wild have soured on him a bit and would consider something like this IF there was a player they truly covet available at a spot they could make something like this happen. It would almost certainly have to be a move-up for a center as well.

Is that really the price for Calen Addison?

I honestly don’t know. Draft floor deals make me scratch my head every year. IF the Wild absolutely covet a player at this point of the draft, and they know they can’t get him later, I would certainly be ok with this price…then hope the targeted player pans out!

Addison's stand-alone value is probably close to a mid-to-high 2nd. So essentially (3) 2nds for, is it 29th?, overall is not a great bit of business for the Wild unless it's targeting a very specific player.

Probably a bit steep for a late 1st round pick in a draft that goes this deep. More likely the Wilds 2nd which is like 52 and Addison to move up to 31. Addison has proven he can run an NHL PP. He needs to be paired with a bigger partner who is a true stay at home guy. I feel like his upside potential is 10-15 goals and 40-45 points.
