Description

Here is how we know a PLD trade won't work, it's obvious LA's real need is goalie, but if the Kings do move Arvidsson, Vilardi, Grundstrom and a 1st for PLD, they are stronger up the middle but will have almost no space for a goalie. Is this team offensively strong? Sure but they had that last season between the production of Arvidsson and Vilardi already, we would need to move Iafallo as well which will be difficult, as you need defensive forwards to offset PLDs defensive play.

Adding PLD basically means the Kings have to knock down Bill Armstrong’s door and give him a blank cheque for Karel Vejmelka 50% retained.

Not worth it, especially given how many expiring contracts on the Kings it’ll likely eat into next offseason.

That deal probably works for Winnipeg but I do understand needing a goalie is the priority... so we can give you Rittich's rights.
