Trades
1.
STL
  1. Hanifin, Noah
Additional Details:
I’ve already done this trade. I’m pretty set on it. It would be tough to see Neighbours leave but this is who I want to pair w Parayko for the next 5 years or so.
CGY
  1. Leddy, Nick
  2. Neighbours, Jake
  3. 2023 1st round pick (DAL)
2.
STL
  1. 2023 6th round pick (FLA)
FLA
  1. Rosén, Calle
Additional Details:
Florida most likely will be losing a couple of D this off-season. This is where I mock him to go.
3.
NYI
  1. Krug, Torey
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
This trade is 50/50 imo swapping bad contracts but NYI would have Krug for an additional 3 years which is why I threw in the 24 2nd
4.
STL
  1. 2023 4th round pick (CAR)
CAR
  1. Scandella, Marco ($1,637,500 retained)
Additional Details:
This is a deal done at the deadline, so don’t freak out about what team i picked. Scandella was solid after coming back from injury and could help a bottom pairing and has a good reach for the PK.

I like it all if it could happen. Most unrealistic part I would say is the Krug trade though. Also need Leddy to waive for Calgary which might be difficult...

The Isles have no interest in Krug. They will pay to move Bailey but have no need for Krug.

Or you can look at common sense when they have a top 4 already in place and no need for an overpaid bottom pairing d man.

Zero chance Leddy waives to Calgary and the Flames would not have interest in taking him on

So you are willing to basically give up 2 number 1 picks for a guy that can walk in one year? We do not have the cap space to resign him. And then you give away our best +/- guy for nothing (6 rounder hmm) I'm think hard pass on all of it. Sorry doesn't make sense

While i'm not sure if they'd pursue Krug. I think there would be interest. Islanders had the 3rd worst PP% in the league last year.

Krug would not replace Dobson in the PP, and they added Horvat to Im prove the PP. The isles have been clear they are trying to move Bailey to add a forward. There would be no interest in Krug, and taking on his cap hit for multiple years.

Dobson is more of a shooter and less of a QB. I'd venture to guess there's serious interest in upgrading that PP. How they do it is certainly up for debate.

The Blues will have plenty of space to resign him in 2024...plus the cap will go up significantly then...

Setting all your moves aside for a moment, what do you expect to extend Hanifin for?

In the 6yr/6-7 M range (maybe add 7th year to lower aav) With cap going up significantly (hopefully) and Kapanen, Vrana, Bailey (in this scenario) coming off the books it’s a doable contract. Leddy would have to be move for this to make sense but Hanifin-Parayko is a solid top pair.

I love watching Neighbours play but imo he’s a 2nd line winger that plays with an edge at best. To me if Hanifin is coming our way we’d have to give up him or Bolduc and I value Bolduc higher than Neighbours. Also we’ll have plenty of cap to re up him and buch next year.

That's interesting, because all I hear out of Isles-ville is how they need a puck mover like water. Been hearing that for months, in fact. Of course, there's other puck movers in the sea, but still. tears of joy

The largest issue is Krug presumably would not waive for NYC.

If we could actually get him to sign 6x6, I'm reluctantly all for it (because Jakey is such a Blues type kid). The problem remains Leddy waiving/being accepted by Calgary.
