In Minnesota he would. MIN is the last team needing d , and they won't take on his cap. So yes, he's absolutely would be in Minnesota

No he wouldn't be. Spurgeon is still one of the best. We also have brodin and Brock faber. He's not a 1st paring guy. So no, Minnesota isn't trading anything forva player not needed. Especially danila Yurov and bunch of 2nd round picks. Florida can keep him as some players are better on other teams

73 poitns in 80 games as a defenseman. Not sure what better player you are going to get for cheaper.

That’s probably the right value but like I said Minnesota or Florida aren’t making this trades. And those are lhd not rhd spurgeon is slowing down. He’ll be better suited for 2nd paid but you’re set on your defense of 2 good players and 3 okay players. We’ll keep montour and his good contract and close to ppg while okaying good in his own zone.

No he’s not. He’s right. Spurgeon is still better than Montour, who by the way can't play a lick of defense despite BEING a defenseman, where as in Minnesota it's a fundamental requirement to actually play defense when you're a defenseman. It's the entire reason they're looking to move on from Addison.

Brodin is arguably the best shutdown defenseman in the NHL, and Spurgeon outplayed Montour as an actual two-way defenseman who finished the year in both the top ten for the Norris and in the 98th percentile for defense.

1) Faber is a RHD.

2) Spurgeon is NOT slowing down.

I know Brodin is. I agree with that statement. But montour would be a top pair on your team with brodin. Montour played most of his games with Marc staal. Tahts why his defense wasn’t great but if you actually watched him. He was playing very well defensively

Faber is playing in top 4 next year. No, he wouldn't be because Jacob Middleton plays with spurgeon due to his size to give Minnesota a big body with small defense. With all due respect, wild aren't taking faber, brodin, spurgeon and or Middleton from top 4..there's a reason calen addison is available. Wild have less than zero interest, need for D. Brodin is absolutely not slowing down, he's still one of the best

You do understand points aren't everything right? With gm Guerin in charge and drank Evason as a coach, they seek defensive minded players and players who are big body in our bottom 4. But wild aren't spending Money for a 5d or 6dd
