Low how? It's more than they are going to get without taking back money. A 1st and 3 2nds isn't bad value when you consider that both Jets and Habs fans agree PLD's value is basically the Panthers 1st + Kidney + Dvorak + a 3rd ish. This is more than that but without Dvo or Hoffman to offset cap.

Edit*** also if PLD is looking for 8.5+ on his next deal he is really going to hurt the Jets return cause he isn't on the same level as Aho and Barzal

I think, because it is both Dubois and Heinola leaving, that three 2nds (essentially) and a prospect isn't enough. I'm thinking not from the perspective of fans, but from what I think the perspective of the team(s) would be.

You got me thinking about the Horvat trade to the Islanders in terms of value, but I still think Cheveldaeoff would want better, not necessarily more. Closer to a mid-first-round pick or higher, rather than 31st overall. When trading a top line center on more than half the teams in the league, you seek higher quality of players. The Jets also seem intent on retooling rather than rebuilding, to their own benefit or not, so this return wouldn't suit their shorter term desires.

Of course, Chevy is handcuffed due to Dubois being too particular with where he wants to go, and that limits his value. I get that.

Philly is not doing this deal. Yes it would be great to move up 2 slots but at that point stand still at #7. Also, they dont need Heinola, whose stock has dropped recently, and they already have at least three LHD Men to step in not including Andrae. Briere passes on this one.
