Getting $20m to not play for VAN. He should sign a lesser deal somewhere he will get a shot to play/resurrect his career. Isles can offer him a somewhat sheltered LD3 role but still allow him to QB a PP

    oel will be a good 3rd pair guy around 2.5m for sure. Isles definitely have the spot for him if they don't love their prospects.

    OEL is arguably the worst defenseman in the league right now . He could play 3rd pair on a team that’s trying to tank.

    Steak dinners, busses, cases of beer, hosting a wedding... owners used to trade players for all sorts of things... even a bag of pucks lmfao.

    OEL hasn’t been the same since he suffered a lower body injury in Arizona. He can’t skate, generate offense or defend. He was ranked as the worst PP QB in the NHL. He’ll get a contract based on reputation but a smart coach won’t play him much
