Saw Edmonton was willing to trade a first for Laughton but Briere wanted more.
I think this might work since Yamamoto does not seem to be in the Oilers plans anymore.
Philly also willing to go 1 & 4 in '25 and give back a 6, if Edmonton decides not to trade away first rounders in consecutive years.Flyers take Yamamoto hoping a change of scenery gets his trade value up for the '24 deadline.

Perhaps. Perhaps not. He is a throw in anyway. If he adds to the trade bait great. If not, he is gone at seasons end. Worth no real cost to find out.

It matters because the Flyers have already turned down a late 2023 first for Laighton. They arent trading him for a 2024 first and borderline camp dump.

Camp dump, sure.
Your opinion and it is just that, an opinion. Same as mine is.

Plus the fact Laughton is not even worth a first and then you get more, anything more, from them would actually be a hell of a coup. Laughton is a decent player that is it.

They have already been offered a late 2023 first and turned it down so he is worth a first. Yamanoto would be "something, anything" if he didnt bring a 3 million cap hit. A 2023first beats him and a 2024 first. No need to get mad that the Flyers dont want Yamato.
