What are Pesce's numbers on his Extension. You could be adding 15mill in Cap ?

Very nice.Even as a Canucks fan i am really stoked to see what happens in Buffalo this year. I think the balance of power is about to change in the NHL.nice post.

The subject line was an instant giveaway - especially in the wording Adams that so often refutes as not being part of his plan. All of these look interesting from fan's perspective but as a trio of moves, they won't happen with how Adams says he'll operate.

Individually, even though Keller is a nice piece, he'd more or less eat up long-term the roster spot gained by subtracting Olofsson - meaning, the only way Kulich or Savoie fit into the forward ranks is as 4th liners. And if a motive of AZ is to reunite that junior line by getting 13OA, Benson will most likely be already gone by then (Coyotes may even nab him at 6OA or 12OA). The overly-excited way Adams describes Savoie each time is similar to how he talks about Levi - they're like the posterchildren for what he wants his team to be made up of as players and people. I really do think Adams sees Savoie and Levi as untouchables for anyone short of a top 5 NHL player, right or wrong.

The Isles have cap issues and a lot of players to re-sign - though they definitely need scoring help. I doubt they could take on Olofsson without Sabres retaining and also whether their defensive-minded system could raise flags on Olofsson's deficiencies.

A lot of the Pesce proposals are automatically putting Jokiharju in the return, likely because most Sabres' fans seem to hate Jokiharju and because they think RHD for RHD is the logical swap - but I don't see it. The Sabres' love Jokiharju and seem to think he's part of their future - even if he gets slotted down to the 3rd pairing with an addition coming in. Hard to imagine that the Canes would accept Lyubushkin, who's same age and entering final contract year like Pesce is, as part of an offer unless the Sabres increase the value of the draft pick or prospect but at least Lyubushkin fills the void of Pesce a little better than Jokiharju does from Canes' perspective.

Love the lineup. I feel like we're giving up a bit much in the two big trades but I'm OK with it. Could hopefully get away with taking Nadeau out at least.. OP/Dahlin/Pesce/Mitts extensions going to be around $29-31M so leaves us with ~$6-8M cap space (before cap increase) to fill 6 depth positions plus backup goalie
